Authentic Kerala food Joint in Bombay

Onam being around the corner, I decided to venture out to eat Sadhya. Sadhya is a normal vegetarian meal usually served in Kerala weddings. It is served on a banana leaf with n number of vegetables, curries, chutneys, achaars and condiments. This restaurant was in my visit list list since ages.

I reached the place at around 3:15 pm. The bike ride was long (35 odd kms) and it was fun. Had to stop at multiple places due to the rains. They stop serving Sadhya at around 3 pm. I felt a bit unlucky.

I ordered my all time favourite Kerala meal. Mutton masala and my all time favourite Kerala parotta. Kerala paratha is a special version which is made with layers and smashed in the end to make it crispier and easily tearable.

The gravy was great with coconut in it in powdered and sliced form. The mutton was descently cooked. The paratha was nice and crispy. It wasn’t that warm though. I was lucky that they had cooked their evening snacks by then. I had a dessert which was steamed in banana leaf and it was a layer of rice filled with jaggery. That one is a must eat!!

A must try place for all the Kerala food lovers. It’s a little difficult to find though but totally worth the labour. A very pocket friendly place too.
